STRAIGHT ANSWERS BEFORE YOU COMMIT

Frequently asked questions

Planning, payment, delivery, and quality — including how our overseas production model actually works.

Planning

5 answers
How long does the whole process take?

Start about 5–6 weeks before your event. After the final mockup and order details are approved and the deposit is received, the standard planning range is 15–20 business days door-to-door. Before any payment, we confirm the delivery plan in writing. Build a production timeline →

What is the minimum order?

50 pieces per coordinated design. Sizes can be mixed toward that total. Standard adult sizes usually share a base price; youth, extended sizes, and different garment types are confirmed separately in the written quote. Plan the group quantity →

Is the first mockup really free?

Yes. Tell us your group, garment, colors, and rough idea. A real designer reviews the brief and confirms the first-mockup timing in writing. You do not pay until you approve the design direction and quote. See what a useful mockup includes →

Can I get a physical sample first?

Yes. A printed sample with your design is $25 including express shipping, and that amount is credited back when you place the bulk order.

Can I mix sizes or garment styles?

Compatible sizes, colors, tees, hoodies, and polos may share one coordinated quote when the written order confirms the design system. Availability, blank price, artwork version, decoration, and minimum treatment can still differ by garment. Plan a mixed order →

Delivery

Where is the apparel made?

At an established overseas partner factory we have worked with for years. Togethread manages design, communication, quote, timeline, and QC approval; the partner handles garment sourcing, printing or embroidery, finishing, and packing. See how Togethread works →

Who handles customs and import duties?

For US orders, the written quote states the destination, tracked delivery plan, duty and tax scope, and any exceptions before production so you can compare the landed total clearly. Compare delivery scopes →

Can I track the shipment?

Yes. Once the order ships, we send a trackable number that follows the parcel through international transit and final-mile delivery to your door. Open order tracking →

Why are full-color prints not charged per color?

Modern digital transfer printing does not require a separate screen for every color. That lets us quote full-color artwork without the usual per-color setup structure; embroidery and specialty methods are quoted separately. Compare color-cost structures →

Approval & quality

When do I pay?

First, you see the free mockup. After you approve the design and quote, a 50% PayPal invoice starts production. We then send photos of the finished batch for review before the remaining 50% balance and shipment. See the approval and payment sequence →

What if something arrives wrong or defective?

Contact us with photos within 7 days of delivery. We compare the affected pieces with the approved mockup and pre-shipment QC record, then resolve the case directly and promptly under the order terms. The goal is to catch issues before shipping, which is why every batch is photographed first.

Can I reorder the same design later?

Yes. We keep the approved design and order details on file, so a future reorder starts from the finished artwork instead of beginning again. Quantity and garment availability are reconfirmed each time. See the simple reorder process →
